I watched a very good video last night about the importance of understanding your camera and what grants an image to call itself “great” (from a technical standpoint, of course).
It was raining today, so I took advantage of the harsh light conditions to get out in the field and practice. Only like this I will be able to start learning about and exploiting the sacred “Triangle of Light” in photography.
Color is something that has been a constant “if” when I take pictures, this is why for this initial phase I will be taking full creative liberty to experiment with color, to then define what sticks with the style I am forming for myself.
Today, as I explained earlier, I played for a while with the different functions of my camera, aiming to create “nicer” more defined and structured images. Once editing, orange really caught my attention, so I started lightly to iterate around with this very warm color, looking at is as a way to counter balance the cold and pale day the rain brought to NYC.
Please feel free to provide me with your feedback as this what is really helping me develop my photography! Thank you!
